Magnetic Encoders | EHM Series

Magnetic encoders detect changes in magnetic density and convert them into output signals. They are particularly suitable for applications where a robust design is important.

The magnetic incremental encoder works contactless and wear-free. It is equipped with Hall sensors and a permanent magnet pole wheel with alternating polarities. Usually, a small, multi-pole permanent magnet sits on the motor shaft. The changes in the magnetic flux are detected by sensors and fed to the electronics.
