A design thinking workshop helps to design a new product so that, on the one hand, it provides real added value to the end user, whilst at the same time setting itself apart from competitors’ products. Design thinking puts the users and their needs at the heart of the innovation process. At the workshop, feedback from the participants goes directly into developing the innovation further and key requirements can be identified.
Dominique Burkard, Head of Industrial Design at the ANTRIMON Group AG, confidently guided the ten-person team from HUBER+SUHNER AG through the workshop and motivated them to think up innovative and creative solutions.
The design thinking method very soon made it apparent that HUBER+SUHNER must move away from the basic “one-size-fits-all” idea and look at the application areas in a more differentiated way when designing the product under discussion.
“We can warmly recommend ANTRIMON Design for workshops about the design thinking method,” says Dominik Tibolla, Product Manager at HUBER+SUHNER. “The many anecdotes told by the presenter from his experiences of earlier workshops were also very valuable. They broke through our often industry-led way of thinking several times and broadened our perspective.” HUBER+SUHNER also praised the serious preparation that ANTRIMON put into the workshop, which came particularly to the fore when visualising the prototypes.
